“Tom Caldwell was exceptional in all phases of our recent home purchase in Newark, Delaware. He worked magic finding listings across the Multiple Listing Service well before our arrival in Delaware on a house hunting trip. Most importantly, he found a house that was not yet “on the market” but was about to be listed and got us in to tour the property ahead of the rest of the world. As a result, we were able to make an acceptable offer. However, Tom did much more than simply find a hidden gem. He carefully researched the property to identify any issues that might cause issues at settlement. In the case of another property, he dug quite deeply into the history of the property and uncovered a large number of issues that could have led to a severe case of “buyers’ regret” had we gone forward with that choice. Tom has a whole stable of helpers who are fantastic. His finance team was excellent; his house inspector did a very solid and thorough inspection on very short notice. The legal team found a couple of important issues to which satisfactory answers were available. And most of all, Tom got all of this stuff together on our behalf working at 3,000 miles distance in essentially 15 days! There may be a better agent somewhere, but having done four real estate transactions in the last 5 years, I would be hard pressed to find a better agent!”
